Walmart2Walmart Powered by Ria allows you to safely send money quickly. Use it to send cash to family and friends in the most affordable and convenient way. Your friends or family can pick up the money transfer at any Walmart in the US and Puerto Rico.

Where do I go to send money with Walmart2Walmart?

It's simple! You can transfer money with Walmart2Walmart at your local Walmart store, including any Supercenter or Neighborhood Market. Use our store locator to find your nearest store.

Where can I send money?

You can send money from any Walmart in the US and Puerto Rico - that's over 4,600 locations. Your recipient can then pick up cash at any Walmart across the United States and Puerto Rico within minutes (for transfers placed during normal Walmart store hours or that do not need to be reviewed by compliance).

How much does it cost to send money?

Less than you might think! Fees are as follows:

How much can I send?

The Daily Limit for sending money is $2,500 per sender per day (Except in Arizona where limits are $499.99 per transaction).

How do I send money once I'm at a Walmart store?

When you arrive to your local Walmart store, visit us at the Customer Service Desk or Walmart MoneyCenter. Once there, you'll need to fill out a Transfer Form with your information and your recipient's information. Be sure to bring your photo identification. You can pay with either U.S. currency or a PIN-based debit.

What information will the recipient need?

In order to pick up money, your recipient will need the reference number on your receipt and valid photo identification.

What are acceptable forms of identification?

Photo identification is needed when picking-up any amount of money. ID is also needed if you send over $900. In Arizona and New Mexico an ID is needed for sending $1 or more. Accepted ID is a valid government issued photo identification that is not damaged or expired, such as:

  • US Driver's License or US State ID
  • US passport or International passports
  • Alien Resident Card
  • Mexican Visa/ Border Crossing Card
  • Mexican Matricula Consular
  • Temporary Resident Card
  • Tribal ID
  • Employment Authorization Card
  • Military ID
  • Naturalization and Immigration Services ID Card

When will the money be available for pick up?

Pretty fast! Cash will be ready to be paid out in ten minutes or less, except for transfers that need to be reviewed by compliance.

Are these prices valid for transferring outside the U.S.?

These prices are only available for transferring money within the United States and Puerto Rico at this time. However, you can send to over 200 countries from over 4,600 Walmart stores in the U.S.

How does Walmart protect the customer's information?

Securing our customer's information is a company priority. We use security measures such as physical, administrative, and technical controls to help protect the confidentiality of personal information. Walmart requires our associates and business partners to manage personal information properly to maintain our customer's trust.

How can I cancel the transfer once I've sent it?

Return to your local Walmart with the reference number and the original receipt and request a refund. You will be refunded in full if the recipient has not yet picked up the money.

Only send money to someone you know. Be wary if you encounter these types of scams:

Unfortunately, scams and consumer fraud happen in the money transfer industry. Some common scams include love scams, fake merchandise websites, lottery scams and Internet or phone scams - to name a few.

You can help us prevent consumer fraud by asking yourself the following questions:

  • Is somebody that I met online promising me a personal relationship with them if I send them money for travel expenses?
  • Are you sending money to receive a lottery prize or a promise of a large payout?
  • Are you sending money to receive merchandise on a website that has promised to send you the goods after they have received money from you?
  • Are you sending money to someone you don't know or whose identity you can't verify?

If any of these scenarios pertain to your transfer, please call our Customer Service team immediately at 1‑855‑355‑2144 and request to stop your money transfer. If payment has not yet been received, the funds will be returned to you right away.
